Chat
Use the built-in chat workspace with selectable models, local CLI agents, vault memory modes, skills, and file context.
Chat brings models, coding agents, vault entries, topics, skills, and files into one conversation surface.
Conversation Layout
The Chat page has a conversation sidebar, message timeline, input composer, model picker, memory-mode controls, and chat settings.
Response Modes
The current source supports selected model responses, agent-only responses, and selected-model-plus-agent workflows. Local CLI agents can run through ACP sessions or headless fallback where available.
Memory Modes

| Pinned only | Restrict context to pinned memory |

Mentions
The input composer can resolve mentions across agents, vault entries, topics, files, and skills. Use mentions when a conversation needs a specific memory or file instead of general vault retrieval.
Archive to Vault
Chat conversations can be persisted back into the vault, which makes the app's own chat history available to future MCP searches and topic classification.
