What Claude Code Fresh Starts does

Give every new Claude Code session the freshest project-aware vault context through a SessionStart hook. The hook reads the local database live, even when the 1AIVault window is closed.

A static CLAUDE.md snapshot cannot see memories saved after it was written and an already-open session will not reread it. The SessionStart hook selects current memory when Claude Code actually begins and uses the working directory to focus the brief on the active project.

Does the hook work when 1AIVault is closed?

Yes. The bundled injector reads the local vault database directly when Claude Code starts, so the desktop window does not need to be running.

Will context be injected twice?

No. While the SessionStart hook is installed, 1AIVault removes its static CLAUDE.md block for Claude Code.

How does project awareness work?

The hook receives the Claude Code working directory and selects matching project-tagged memory when available, alongside the bounded general brief.
