Manual and chat-saved memories

Capture memory that never came from an import — by hand or straight from chat.

Overview

What Manual and chat-saved memories does

Not every useful memory comes from an external tool. 1AIVault lets you add manual entries directly — a decision, a preference, or a note you want the vault to remember — through the catch-all Other tab in Collect. These typed memories sit alongside imported conversations and get the same classification, search, and recall treatment.

Conversations you hold inside the app count too. When you save a Unified Chat session, its transcript becomes a vault entry that can be classified, searched, and recalled later like any imported chat. Between manual notes and saved chats, memory that originates inside 1AIVault never has to live outside the vault.

Why it matters

The payoff for your AI memory

Type memory directly

Capture a decision, preference, or note that no AI tool ever logged, straight into the vault by hand.

Chat saves to vault

Saved Unified Chat conversations become vault entries instead of vanishing when the session ends.

Same treatment as imports

Manual and chat-saved memories are classified, searched, and recalled exactly like imported conversations.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I add my own memory without importing a conversation?

Yes. The Collect Other tab accepts manual entries, so a decision, preference, or note can be captured even when no AI tool produced it.

Do in-app chats get saved as memory?

Yes. Saved Unified Chat transcripts become vault entries that can be classified, searched, and recalled like any imported conversation.
