Overview

What Link and File Actions does

Open URLs and local file paths from saved memory without navigating 1AIVault away from your vault. Choose a browser, file manager, 1DevTool, your default editor, or the clipboard from one safe menu.

Saved memories often point to the exact documentation, repository file, or configuration behind a decision. A normal anchor should not replace the vault window or force you to rebuild the path by hand, so 1AIVault classifies each target and lets you choose the next application explicitly.

FAQ

Common questions

Can a link replace the 1AIVault window?

No. Memory-detail navigation is intercepted, and unhandled anchors are blocked from replacing the renderer document. Web targets open through your default browser instead.

Which files can open in 1DevTool or my editor?

The target must exist and be a supported Markdown, text, source, or configuration file. Missing or unsupported targets do not receive file-launch actions.

What happens if 1DevTool is not installed?

The Open with 1DevTool action is disabled. You can still reveal the file, open it with your default editor, or copy the path.
