Overview
What Import All and Rescan workflows does
Import All is the one-pass bulk action for the On machine tab. It walks every detected importable source, pulls the available conversations, and reports the total number of entries it brought in. It is the fastest way to seed a vault right after installing 1AIVault, or to catch up after a long stretch away from the app.
Rescan handles the other side of the problem: detection. When you install a new AI tool, Rescan refreshes source availability so the freshly added client shows up ready to import. Together the two actions keep the workspace honest — you always see the tools that are actually present and can pull everything from them in a couple of clicks.
